Townsend Meeting Hall Art Gallery Library, Meeting Hall, Senior Center Building Complex The building holds a library, senior center, gallery space, and a meeting hall.

The complex was a gift to the town of Townsend in 2009 from the Sterilite Corporation, which has had it's headquarters in Townsend since the 1960s. The MH Gallery is open during regular operating hours for the Townsend Public Library and the Townsend Senior Center, as well as for scheduled events. Currently in the Gallery is the "Three Niemi's Art" Exhibit. This is a combined father and two sons artwork show. Come in and enjoy the array of works by this talented group. This show will run through October 30th and is open to the public during library and senior center hours.

A show reception will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 12-2 p.m.

Townsend Meeting Hall Art Gallery space available!

Dear artists, The Townsend Meeting Hall Art Gallery has hosted artist’s exhibits since 2009. We would love to display your work!

Local artists are invited to apply for gallery exhibit space in either the Main Gallery Room at a $50 fee, or the Corridor Gallery space at a $20 fee, or both. Our shows display for two months at a time throughout the year. The 2026 calendar is now available!
