One of the most historic drug & weapon busts in Broadwater. Thank you Broadwater County Sheriff's Office for keeping us safe! 💪🏼

During a traffic stop of a vehicle leaving a neighborhood in Broadwater County, Broadwater sheriff’s deputies recognized the need to escalate the investigation and called in K-9 assistance.

Montana was set to make changes this year to when voters can register prior to a federal election, but a judge's ruling prevented the state from implementing the new rules. Now, state and county election officials are having to update their guidance to voters, to let them know late registration remains open all day on Election Day and a half-day on the Monday before -- but won't be available the Saturday before the primary.

Please see the attached news release and note the following court-ordered requirements:

• Saturday voter registration is prohibited on May 30, 2026.
• Election offices must remain open for voter registration changes and updates until noon on Monday, June 1, 2026.
• Late registration will be available through the close of polls at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
