The Arc of Litchfield County - LARC Guided by a vision of "Community for All", LARC supports individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities.

On a daily basis, LARC serves 220 individuals with disabilities throughout Northwest Connecticut. Services include residential group homes, in-home supports, transportation, day and employment programs. LARC’s Social Enrichment program, funded solely by private donations, fundraisers, and the United Way of Northwest Connecticut, provides critical respite and recreational opportunities for 120 such

as group outings, social gatherings, and Special Olympics. The new Autism Resource Center offers monthly webinars as well as a free pre-school playgroup for children, ages 2-5, as with Autism Spectrum Disorder to engage in activities that promote socialization and form new friendships.

Give Local is well under way. Your donation helps fund the programs and activities that provide social enrichment to over 200 individuals with disabilities on a daily basis.

As one of our DSP's Jay said, "there are so many ways that individuals benefit from the programs. Getting outside and exploring nature, going to art class, having music in their lives, or even getting help around the house and figuring our confusing bills and what not... Regular life situations, and so much more."
