It’s been a busy Memorial Day for our members!

At 2:49 am this morning, our members responded into Norfolk to assist the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department with town coverage while they operated at a fire in MA.

Once released, the trucks were re-washed and members participated in the Memorial Day Parade here in town.

We would like to take a moment to remember all those who have lost their lives in service to our country on this Memorial Day, and everyday. 🇺🇸

Stay safe all!

We couldn’t end the week without a visit to our friends over at Litchfield County Dispatch to celebrate National Telecommunicators Week!

Chief Kalinowski and Lt. Beyus brought some healthy snacks over to the “Vampire Crew” or more commonly know as the night shift. And yes, it was their request for fruit and vegetables, I think they were close to a sugar coma from all of the other sweet treats donated!

In all seriousness, we thank each and everyone of our dispatchers for the incredible work they do for us out on the fire ground and beyond. We’re thankful for a caring and strong crew at LCD!

While in the works for a very long time, we are so excited to finally announce our latest piece of equipment scheduled to go into service today!

Drakeville Marine 39 will make patrolling Stillwater Pond much easier for our crew. Equipped with (2) 300 HP Mercury Engines, we will be able to make it across the pond within 3 seconds. How’s that for response time!?!

If you’re still reading and haven’t figured it out yet, of course this is an APRIL FOOLS prank! 🚢😎😂
