TTN, led by Kurt Johnson,celebrating Trails Day at Sunnybrook State Park Torrington on a perfect day to get outside and explore. The blue trail brought the group by a heron rookery, beaver activity, a wide range of birds, and the discovery of an old spring water hole that most likely supported the farm animals on the original farm.

Annual Plant Sale!

On Saturday May 16 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Torrington Trails Network will be holding its annual plant sale in the Torrington Library parking lot. It is our largest fundraiser each year and we are again looking for your support.

Please join us!! We look forward to seeing you all and hope you can come and purchase some plants for your garden. We also will take plant donations which can be dropped off at the start of the sale on the 16th. And, if you have anything to donate, such as bird houses, tools, walking sticks, or anything else, we would be appreciative of any donations that we could use for our fundraising.

Thank you and thank you all for your support for our organization. We are a group of volunteers who, for the past sixteen years, have been working to create an interconnected multi-use network of trails in our city. Hope to see you at the plant sale!!!

🚴 Save the Date! 🌄

The annual Tour of the Litchfield Hills — a biking and hiking charity event supporting cancer causes — is happening Sunday, August 2 (early morning through early afternoon).

Last year, TTN hosted a table and had fantastic conversations with participants who were excited about TTN and local bicycle trail expansion. We even grew our email list — including connecting with Paul Summers, who now helps us with Facebook and Instagram.

✨ Good news: We’ve been invited to host a table again this year!

We’re looking for volunteers to help out for some or all of the event. You can even ride or hike and join us before and/or afterwards. If you’re interested, please comment below or message us privately. It’s a wonderful way to support a great cause and engage with the community.

Earth Day Clean Up

Coe Memorial Park Civic Center

Please join the 21st Annual Earth Day Clean Up, hosted by the City of Torrington Conservation Commission!

Kick things off at Coe Park Civic Center with a light breakfast, then head out together to help beautify our community.

All supplies will be provided, including trash bags, grabbers, and vinyl gloves. Just bring yourself and maybe a friend!
