Ever wondered what really happens inside City Hall? 🏛️🤔

It’s easy to see the snowplows on the road or the parks being mowed, but behind every city service is a network of people working together to make it happen.

In our latest edition of In Detail, Mayor Spino pulls back the curtain on:
🔹 Collaboration: How Finance, Public Works, and Public Safety coordinate on every major project.
🔹 Budgeting: The careful balance of community needs and responsible planning.
🔹 Your Voice: Why resident feedback is the most important "gear" in the machine.

"City government may seem complex, but at its core, it’s about people working together to build a stronger community." — Mayor Spino

Torrington is officially taking to the water! 🛶✨

After reviewing our recent $54 million federal funding request for the Naugatuck River Wall Stabilization, we realized there was a much more... romantic use for our local waterway. To further our downtown revitalization and transit-oriented development goals, the City is thrilled to announce the Naugatuck River Commuter Gondola Fleet.

Starting this summer, residents can bypass Main Street traffic entirely by taking a scenic, 2-mile-per-hour boat ride from the South End straight to City Hall. Not only will this ease downtown parking, but it will also create 30 new jobs for professionally trained, singing Gondoliers (hired through our local arts partners). 🎤🎶

Forget the bus—your new commute is powered entirely by a guy named Giuseppe singing “O Sole Mio.”

See yourself in... a striped shirt and a straw hat. Waterway commuting has never been so vibrant!
