Friends of the Torrance Library

Friends of the Torrance Library The Friends of the Torrance Library is a non-profit group that supports the Torrance Public Library. We were organized in 1968 as a 501(c)(3) corporation.

Through our book and media sales, we help support the library's efforts to promote literacy and education in the community. The Friends of the Torrance Library is an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise funds for the Torrance Public Library's adult and children's programs and new library services. Through membership dues, contributions, and book sales, the Friends have don

ated almost $2 million to the library. We operate with minimal overhead. All the work is done by volunteers; we have no paid staff. All funds raised go directly to support the library.
