The most recent update for Torrance’s 2026 municipal election was released around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24.

It is sad that people commenting don't get it. By California LAW postmarked ballots had a week to arrive. People with signature matching issues were contacted and had until today to handle it. Provisional & any other remaining ballots will be reported by Friday. Accuracy matters so that ineligible ballots are not counted. Democracy in action is a beautiful thing.

The twelfth post-Election Night ballot count update includes 2,252 ballots processed since the eleventh post-Election Night update. The total election results count is 2,227,290 (37.80% of registered voters).

The Public Works Department invites Torrance residents to a FREE Electronic Recycling and Paper Shredding Event on Saturday, June 27, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will be held near the Torrance City Hall Employee Parking Lot (near the Torrance Courthouse of Maple Ave.) Proof of Torrance residency is required.
