Families can look forward to:
☀Free dinner and treats

☀Lots of hands-on STEAM activities for kids
☀A chance to build a solar-powered robot
☀Games, prizes and more!

🚸 Pick-Up Safety Reminder

Families, please remember that students should never cross the road outside of a designated crosswalk during dismissal.

If you park on the opposite side of the road, please walk to the crosswalk and cross safely with your child. Please do not call students across the street or have them cross between parked vehicles.

Our dismissal area is very busy, and we want to keep every student safe. Thank you for your help and cooperation! ❤️🐾

📢 Friendly Reminder for Families

Garfield families, we are asking for your help in reminding students to please leave Squishies, Dumplings, and other toys at home.

We have recently had an increase in students bringing these items to school, and unfortunately, they are becoming a distraction during the school day. Students are also losing them, trading them, and worrying about where they are. Some Squishies can also pop or break, creating a mess in classrooms.

We understand that some students may have sensory fidgets included as part of their individual learning plan, and those approved supports are absolutely okay at school. However, Squishies, Dumplings, and similar items are considered toys rather than learning tools, and toys should remain at home.

Thank you, families, for helping us keep our classrooms focused on learning! ❤️📚🐾

“About 165 kids -- or roughly four school busloads of children -- are seen in emergency rooms for medication-related treatment every day in the U.S.,” said Kate Carr, President and CEO of Safe Kids Worldwide. “Every one of those trips was preventable. We can and must do better.”
