Vaughn was sworn in during the Toppen*sh City Council meeting on September 14, 2026, after previously serving as the City's Assistant City Manager and Finance Director.

Work continues at the intersection of S Toppen*sh Avenue and W First Avenue.

Crews have completed removal of the existing roadway and are now installing new water mains. This phase of construction is expected to continue for the next two weeks before crews move on to the next stage of the project.

Public Works staff completed training on the City's new Tenax Electra 2.0 EVOS electric street sweeper and it's ready to get to work helping keep our streets clean.

The new sweeper was purchased for $344,990.29 through the Yakima Valley Conference of Governments Carbon Reduction Program and was funded entirely through grant dollars.
