Creating safer spaces for children starts with informed adults.

Adult Brave Talk helps caregivers, educators, churches, youth programs, and community members better understand child abuse prevention and practical ways to reduce risk. Prevention begins with adults who are willing to learn, speak up, and stay engaged.

When communities work together, children are better protected, supported, and empowered to speak up when something doesn’t feel right.

Our team is grateful to continue having these important conversations throughout the community. Additional information about Adult Brave Talk can be found at lhcac.orgl.

June marks a natural checkpoint in the year, especially for business owners and entrepreneurs who start the year with big goals and strong momentum.

By now, some plans may be moving forward, while others might still be waiting for the right time, the right resources, or the perfect strategy. Progress in business rarely begins with perfect conditions. More often, it starts with simply taking the next step with what is already available.

Whether you are building a new venture, growing your client base, refining your services, or pursuing a goal that has been sitting on your list since January, forward motion matters more than perfection.

As we move through the rest of the month, take a moment to reflect: What is one business goal or challenge you could move forward with today, even with imperfect conditions? Feel free to share it in the comments. We would love to hear what you’re pursuing in the second half of the year.

Summer break often means more time online for children and teens. That’s why open conversations about internet safety matter more than ever.

Caregivers can help children stay safer online by keeping devices in common areas, reviewing privacy settings together, and creating space for honest conversations about online experiences.

Online safety is not about fear. It’s about helping children build confidence and healthy digital habits with trusted adults by their side.

Families looking for additional online safety guidance and conversation tips can find helpful resources on lhcac.org.

We want to say thank you to a few of our amazing board members for hosting a gathering to help community members learn about all of the work that happens at LifeHouse. We are incredibly grateful for those that are willing to invite others into the conversation and share our mission of Helping Kids Be Kids Again 💙💚

Many caregivers feel unsure about what happens during a forensic interview. Our goal is to provide a calm, welcoming environment where children feel comfortable sharing their experiences and families feel guided throughout the process.

A forensic interview gives a child the opportunity to share information in a neutral setting with a specially trained interviewer. This multidisciplinary approach helps reduce the number of times a child has to repeat their experience.

Every child deserves compassionate care, patient listening, and trusted adults who help them feel heard and protected.

No family should have to navigate these moments alone. Support, guidance, and additional information about the forensic interview process are available at lhcac.org.

Prevention starts with conversations.

Brave Talk helps children and adults learn about body safety, trusted adults, healthy and unhealthy secrets, and online safety in age-appropriate ways that build confidence and awareness.

This year alone, prevention education was provided to 9,815 elementary-aged children throughout the community. Every conversation helps create safer spaces for kids to grow, learn, and thrive.

We’re grateful to continue bringing these important conversations into schools and community spaces throughout the area. Additional information about Brave Talk is available at lhcac.org.
