Did you know we have two opportunities in August to join in a blacksmithing class? The 1st and the 29th! You read that right! The 29th also happens to be our annual Soiree here at the park. This means you can learn the ancient art of blacksmithing, get a free meal, enjoy live music and have a cocktail under the stars at the Park all in one day! This year seems to be flying by; we are one month away from our largest annual event here at the park. The Summer Soiree is set for August 29th, and you don't want to miss it! Come join us at the Mining Park at 5pm for food, music, a silent auction and amazing company and socializing under the Mizpah Headframe! This is one of the few opportunities to watch the sun set from our amazing Historic site and it is simply magical! Mark your calendar and join us for an evening of fun and excitement!

It's getting hot outside! With temperatures in the 90's an absolute must is lots of water, a good hat and sunscreen. Please keep this in mind when visiting the Park! If outdoor exploration is not something you're interested in, our visitors center is nice and cool all day! We look forward to seeing you soon!

Have you ever wondered what kinds of critters you might see while exploring our park? There are so many quiet guests and residents who enjoy the mining park! Many of them won't be seen unless you are very quiet and observant. While others, you may not want to see at all! Along with the animals shown, there are many more who do not like their photos taken! We see bobcats, coyotes, foxes, horned owls, many crows, horned lizards and ground chipmunks!
We encourage enjoying the wildlife here at the park but urge caution and respect. These adorable critters are wild and tolerate human company but don't want to cuddle!
