🚨Is your family ready for the unexpected? 🚨

September is National Prepardness Month, however staying safe is a year-round job! Join us for our upcoming Open House and take the first step toward getting your household ready for any emergency.

When: Wednesday, October 7th 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Where: 738 Sheridan Drive

We are thrilled to host two incredible community safety partners who will be on-site to answer your questions and share lifesaving tips:

Tonawanda CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) – Learn how ordinary citizens are trained to assist our community during major disasters, and find out how you can get involved!

US National Weather Service Buffalo NY – Chat directly with the experts who track Western New York's wild weather. Get insider tips on how to properly interpret weather warnings and prepare for severe storms.

Whether you want to build a better home emergency kit, learn about local volunteer opportunities, or just say hello, there is something here for everyone.

Bring the family, ask questions, and leave with the peace of mind that comes with being prepared. We can't wait to see you there!

We had so much fun last year, that ALL of the Town of Tonawanda fire departments are teaming up and taking over the Aquatic Center once again!

If you missed it last time, now is your chance. We are bringing the entire town’s crews together in one single spot so you can meet the teams, hang out, and see what volunteering is all about. No pressure, just a fun day with your local firefighters.

Bring the family, bring your friends, and come check out the action:

Location: Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center (1 Pool Plaza)

Last night we had the honor to celebrate the accomplishments and dedication of Robert Lutz.

Bob was recognized as one of the 12 Firefighter Honoree's at the Erie County Fair last night.

He is not only a 50 year member of our department (that began our AED program!), and has held the rank of Lieutenant, Captain, Safety Officer (current), and Commissioner. Bob is a retired Paramedic for the Town of Tonawanda, the current Emergency Services Coordinator for the Town of Tonawanda, and has overseen the Town CERT group for many years.
He has been instrumental in assisting departments through the Town get resources they need when emergencies happen, was a leader through Covid in 2020 and numerous snow storms.

Bob, from the entire Company to you and your family, THANK YOU for everything you do.

Thank you to DiVal Safety Equipment, Inc. for sponsoring the First Aid Kit Raffle for our 2026 Annual Open House. DiVal Safety has donated 3 kits to be raffled off for free! Make sure to stop by our recruitment station (under the pop up tent in the apparatus bay) during our event and fill out a ticket!

DiVal Safety works with us on demonstrating different types of gear, SCBA testing and mask fitting, personal escape system testing and more.

Make sure you stop by the FireDex/DiVal spot at the Open House if you want to know more about safety products, and the different construction types of fire gear!

Pictured (not in turnout gear) is J.D. Clairmont who is the regional representative for FireDex, and Mark Rabent from DiVal Safety. Both Mark and J.D. will be in attendance, make sure to say hello and stop by for a great conversation about gear!
