Today we honor and remember all those who are no longer with us. Giving their life to protect our freedom so the Red, the White, and the Blue can fly as freely as it does. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.
The 13 folds carry the following meanings:
1st Fold: Represents life.
2nd Fold: Signifies a belief in eternal life.
3rd Fold: Honors and remembers veterans who gave their lives in defense of the country.
4th Fold: Exemplifies our reliance on divine guidance and strength in times of peace and war.
5th Fold: Pays tribute to the United States of America.
6th Fold: Represents where our hearts lie as we pledge allegiance to the flag.
7th Fold: Acts as a tribute to the Armed Forces who protect the country.
8th Fold: A tribute to the one who entered the "valley of the shadow of death" so that others could see the light.
9th Fold: Honors womanhood and mothers for their faith, love, and devotion.
10th Fold: Pays tribute to fathers who have given their children for the defense of the country.
11th Fold: Represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon.
12th Fold: Represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies God.
13th Fold: When the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost, reminding us of our national motto, "In God We Trust".
