1. Approve September 1 Minutes — Accepts the Common Council meeting minutes from September 1, 2026, as filed.
2. Fremont Street/Fillmore Avenue Stop Signs — Introductory resolution adding stop signs at the Fremont Street and Fillmore Avenue intersection and schedules a public hearing for October 6, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
3. New Left-Turn-Only Lanes — Introductory resolution establishing designated left-turn-only lanes at Northbound Delaware Street at Delton Street, Eastbound Niagara Street at Main Street, and Eastbound Broad Street at Delaware Street
A public hearing is scheduled for October 6, 2026, at 6:30 PM.
4. Terminate Community Development Agency — Requests that the State Senator and Assemblyman serving during the 2027 session introduce legislation repealing the state law that created the City of Tonawanda Community Development Agency, which has been inactive since 2018.
5. Main Street Storm Sewer Engineering Contract — Awards engineering, bidding, and construction-phase services for the Main Street Storm Sewer project to Nussbaumer and Clarke, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $154,731.
6. Full Veterans Property Tax Exemption — Amends the City Code to provide a full property tax exemption for qualifying veterans who are permanently and totally disabled as a result of military service, consistent with amended New York State law.
7. Day of Play Special Event — Approves COT Neighbors United’s Day of Play at Veterans Park on September 19, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
8. Elmwood Park Halloween Street Closures — Allows residents to close Elmwood Park at Fletcher, Hill, Grand, and Catherine from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM for a Halloween event.
9. Approval of Surplus Equipment Sales — Approves the online auction sale of 2 City vehicles through Auctions International, totaling approximately $10,725.
10. Executive Session — Authorizes the Council to enter executive session for legally permitted City business.
11. Adjournment — Adjourns the Common Council meeting until October 6, 2026.
