Congratulations to Our Newest Graduates!

We are proud to recognize the hard work and dedication of our newest firefighters who have successfully graduated from Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 at Toms River Fire Training Center.

Phebe Friedlander, Gavriel Garfunkel, Andrew Schober, and Kyle Thullner.

These recruits have undergone extensive and rigorous training to reach this milestone. Their commitment and perseverance have truly paid off!

Last night, volunteer members also responded to a reported generator fire. Chief 3000, Assistant Chief 3010, Engine 3051, Ladder 3065, and Fire Police 3017 responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews determined the issue was related to the generator startup process and secured the generator, bringing the incident under control.

Last night, volunteer members responded to a reported wires down with an accompanying brush fire. Chief 3000, Assistant Chief 3010, Engine 3051, and Fire Police 3017 responded to the scene. Crews secured the area and extinguished the fire while awaiting utility personnel.

Last night, volunteer members responded to a reported pole on fire. Chief 3000, Assistant Chief 3010, Engines 3041 and 3051, Ladder 3065, and Fire Police 3017 responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews assessed the situation and stood by while the utility hazard was being secured.

Yesterday, volunteer members attended Sensory Diversity Day at Field of Dreams!

Ladder 3065 was on display for the Touch-a-Truck event, giving attendees the opportunity to explore the apparatus and meet our volunteers.

Last night, volunteer members responded to a reported struck gas line. Chief 3000, Assistant Chief 3010, Engines 3041 and 3051, Ladders 3055 and 3065, Rescue 3033, and Fire Police 3017 all responded and operated on scene.

Upon arrival, crews secured the area and established a safe perimeter while awaiting the arrival of New Jersey Natural Gas. Crews remained on scene to assist and ensure the safety of nearby residents until the hazard was secured.

We would like to thank Dispatch, Toms River Police Department, Toms River Police EMS IAFF Local 4846, and New Jersey Natural Gas for their assistance during this incident!
