Ocean County Family Support Organization The FSO is a non-profit organization that provides resources and support for families that have children with behavioral and mental health challenges.

The FSO is a nonprofit organization made up of parents and community members whose mission is to ensure that every Ocean County family who have children with special, emotional, and behavioral needs is given community based resources and support. What is the purpose of the FSO?

* Provide support to families who have children with special, emotional, and behavioral needs is given community based

resources and support.

* Develop trainings for families and children with special needs and community members who are professional or non-professional who may come in contact with these children.

* Dissemination of information to both families of children with special needs, and professional or non-professional members who may come in contact with these children.

* Develop a good partnership with local CMO to enhance the services provided to those families with children with special needs.

This is a support group for parents and caregivers of special needs individuals. This is a hybrid session and registration is required for virtual attendees. In person attendees will be provided with refreshments.
Connect with other caregivers who truly understand the journey in a relaxed, judgment-free space. Share your story, listen, or simply take a breath among people who get it.

The 5th Annual Trunk or Treat is a spooky night of fun that recognizes and addresses the barriers of stigma surrounding mental health.

Energy Assistance Day is coming to Toms River on Thursday, September 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ocean County Senior Services, 1005 Hooper Avenue.

Residents can receive in-person assistance exploring programs that may help with home energy costs, including the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Universal Service Fund (USF).

Please bring current documents, including Social Security cards for household members, proof of income for adults 18 and older, mortgage/tax bill or rental lease, and recent natural gas and electricity bills.
