Later this week when we reopen our doors and welcome our clients back, there will be more than just food on the shelves of our client choice pantry. Food insecurity means non-food items typically purchased during a regular trip to the market, are also out of the budget. Items like toothpaste, soap, deodorant, tampons and pads, diapers, and other personal hygiene products are welcome additions to our shelves because it means one less thing our clients need to worry about. If you're picking up items to donate to our pantry (or any other!) this month, consider adding some of these personal care items to the stash!

Earlier this week we had the opportunity to gather with our volunteers for a reorientation and an opportunity to see how things will work in the new spaces. Wow! Things are really starting to come together in our new space! Many thanks to all the awesome volunteers and staff that have spent the last few days unpacking and organizing the new food pantry and office at 1070 Hooper Ave. Next week (Sept 9) we'll the doors to clients. Remember, same parking lot, new location. You'll enter our offices and pantry on the Chestnut Street side of the church building when we open again on September 9.

The boxes are packed, the moving truck has arrived, and we're making our way to our new space across the parking lot! Remember, the pantry and office is closed as we get settled in our new space at 1070 Hooper Ave, Toms River. Same parking lot. New space. We will open again on September 9th in our new, udpated offices inside The Presbyterian Church of Toms River (entrance is on the Chestnut Street side of the building.)

Big changes are coming! We're moving just across the parking lot into a renovated space within The Presbyterian Church of Toms River! Our new home is at the side entrance (Chestnut St side). Our office is closed this week as we prepare for the move. The pantry will remain open through Wednesday (8/26). Keep your eyes open for updates on when our doors open in the new space! A few weeks ago, we told you about our friends at Wrangle Brook Community Garden in Berkley Township. This awesome group of green thumbs provides our pantry with seasonal produce. Their work is supported by other awesome volunteers, by the way. The community garden is supported by Rutgers Master Gardeners and The ARC who picks produce and works in the garden on Wednesdays and Thursdays this year. Got some extra produce of your own? We'd be happy to take any bumper crops and excess produce off your hands! Our clients love the fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies in our food pantry.
