This week the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs is introducing Richard Aubin, Superintendent of Weights & Measures.

Rich oversees the Weights & Measures Division, which is responsible for inspecting nearly 200 gas stations (land and marine) throughout Ocean County. These inspections help ensure proper octane levels, accurate volumetric delivery, and safe operating conditions. Each gasoline pump is inspected annually.

Additionally, the Weights & Measures Division inspects weighing and measuring devices in all 33 municipalities where products are offered for sale to the public, including supermarkets and gold buying/selling establishments.

We thank Superintendent Aubin for his many years of dedicated service to the residents of Ocean County and the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs.
