June 3rd 2021, 1st Lieutenant Gabbie Guerra gave birth to her beautiful son Nathan Jacob. Nathan was born with a rare birth defect CDH (congenital diaphragmatic hernia) and his surgery is today. We ask for prayers and thoughts for Nathan. Please take a moment to read Nathan’s story about more about his CDH in his gofund me.

It is with heavy heart to announce the recent passing of our former captain Fred Etting. Thank you to everyone for all your kind condolences yesterday. Our members and officers of East Dover are in disbelief and are grieving as we lost such a big part of our EDFA family. Fred Etting was a dedicated member of East Dover, serving his time in EMS for 60+ years. Not only was he our captain, he was a friend and a mentor. He gave his time day in and day out for all his members of East Dover and to the people of his community. Fred has touched many hearts throughout our squad and the EMS community; taking many under his wing and guiding them in the right path to success. Fred was loved by many and we know he would be proud of all he had mentored throughout the years. Gone but never forgotten, Rest In Peace Captain Fred Etting. We’ll take it from here, we love you.

The first responders of EDFA would like to take a second to appreciate the little things. During this time, all first responders, nurses, doctors, fire, etc are out everyday on the front line putting theirselves at risk making sure you and your families are safe. One of our youngest members was in a tragic accident last Saturday. We ask for thoughts and prayers for him and his family. Any little bit of donation helps with his medical costs.

Today Dawson was involved in a motorcycle accident. Please help him and his family during this tragic time.
