I get asked about section 8 quite a bit....wanted to share this information.
**********The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, also known as Section 8) Waiting List is closed as of Friday, August 23, 2019, at 5 p.m. ET. Applications are no longer being accepted at this time**********
Kentucky Housing Corporation's (KHC) Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) will begin accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV, also known as Section 8) for rental assistance beginning on Monday, August 19, 2019, at 9 a.m. ET, through Friday, August 23, 2019, at 5 p.m. ET. The Section 8 Online Application will be available within the applicant Rent Café during this time only. Customers will create an account so that they can complete and submit an application.
Please share this information with those interested in applying and direct individuals to watch for the application link on KHC's website, under Rental, Rental Portals, Section 8 Online Application. We encourage everyone wanting assistance to register online, applications are accepted in the order they are received.
Paper applications will be available at KHC's office, located at 1231 Louisville Road, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. Applicants may also request a paper copy be mailed directly to them by calling KHC toll-free at 877-552-7368 or 502-564-9946.
