But Jesus called for the parents, the children, and His disciples to come and listen to him. Then He told them, “Never hinder a child from coming to me. Let them all come, for God’s kingdom realm belongs to them as much as it does to anyone else. They demonstrate to you what faith is all about." Luke 18:16 TPT

Teaching children to pray is our responsibility as parents and disciples of Christ. The faith of a child is pure and simple but thats what makes it powerful and effective.

Prayer is simply a 2-way conversation with God. Just as we teach our little ones to talk to others with respect and kindness we can teach them to talk to God every day the same way.

We talk to the ones we love and we listen to them as well. Teach them to talk to God about everything and anything. Tell God about your day and what's on your mind and don't forget to listen too.

Be the example. As they see you talking to God and building your relationship with Him they will do as you do and know it is something that is important to do.

How old? From the very beginning of vocabulary development you can pray with them until they are able to do it on their own. Start with bedtime and lunch but make sure they see you talking to God at other times too. What an awesome habit to begin.........at any age.

Many times we times we allow the things - mindsets/hurts of our past to become a weight behind us as we are reaching for the goal ahead.

Although what is behind us has made us who we are we can not reach the abundance God has for us now until we CHOOSE to let go of the past hurts and limited mindsets of our former self.

Let go and let God bring out your greatness!
