Last night at the City Council meeting, we had the honor of presenting our very first Employee of the Month Award. Congratulations to Sarah, our inaugural recipient!
Sarah consistently goes above and beyond for the City of Tom Bean and our residents. Her hard work, dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving our community do not go unnoticed. Since stepping into the role of City Secretary, she has been an invaluable asset to our city and a true blessing to our team.
We are grateful for everything Sarah does behind the scenes each day to help keep our city running smoothly. Her positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to help wherever needed make a difference in the lives of our citizens and in the success of our organization.

The City of Tom Bean extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, classmates, and loved ones of Makynna Tumlinson, a beloved Tom Bean graduate whose life touched so many in our community.

To allow City staff the opportunity to attend Makynna’s funeral services and pay their respects, City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, June 9, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Regular operations will resume at 2:00 p.m.

In small towns, we are more than neighbors, we are family. During times of loss, it is important that we come together to support one another, honor cherished memories, and celebrate lives that have made a lasting impact on our community.

Please join us in keeping Makynna’s family and all those who loved her in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

HAZARDS: Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph and pea to half inch hail.

IMPACTS: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
