Meet Mrs. Glueck!

"Hello! My name is Jennifer Glueck or Mrs. G., as many call me. I will be providing reading support to all of our English Language Learners so that they can gain the literacy skills they need to help them learn the English language and be successful both at school and in life. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration on Bilingual Education and a Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction. I am certified as a specialist in English Language Learners, Reading, and Early Childhood education. In 2011, I was awarded the title of English Language Learner Teacher of the Year for the state of Arizona! This will be my 24th year as a teacher, with the last 5 years being right here at Union! I love my job and I love my kids. They are all capable of so much and I am determined to help them discover the greatness that they all carry inside of them.

On the personal side, I have lived in Arizona since I was 2 years old, so I consider myself a native. I am a wife, a mother to three grown boys, and a grandmother to five amazing grandchildren. I am also “mama” to my three cats! My idea of the perfect relaxing evening is to sit at home with a cat curled up in my lap, coffee in hand, and listening to music, especially my favorite band, Queen! 😊"

Welcome Ms. Martinez!

"Hello, my name is Ms. Rita Ann Martinez , I am a fourth-grade teacher at Union Elementary School. I am a mom of three children and a Nana of three grandchildren. I have a small dog 🐕‍🦺 name Sofia. My favorite color is yellow, I love to watch the ballet, The Nutcracker. Every Christmas, another one of my loves is a nice hot cup of coffee, cream, and sugar, please or a caramel macchiato with two pumps of peppermint , you got to love it Christmas all year around.

Also, I love to cook. My favorite seasons are fall and winter. It's just such a wonderland of beauty during that time. Hope this lets you get to know me a little personally and professionally. I've been working with children and parents for the last 35 years in the Early Childhood Education Field with the opportunity to have worked in many programs and departments. I currently have six years in the teaching field area for elementary school. Again, hope this lets you know me a little more."

"Hi, Union Elementary community! I’m Ms. Colato, and beyond excited for the upcoming school year. I’m looking forward to a joyful year filled with learning, growth, and adventure!
Originally from North Carolina, I spent the past four years in Houston before making Arizona my new home. I recently graduated from Rice University and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Elementary Education at ASU.
As a proud first-generation college graduate, I’m passionate about access to college and scholarships, and I’d love to be a resource for all students and families across our community.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I’m so honored to be part of this beautiful community, and I can’t wait to learn and grow together this year! 💛"

"Welcome to Preschool! I am Mrs. Mary Jane A. Rollen, and I am eager to serve as your Special Education Developmental Preschool teacher for the upcoming school year. "My name is Cheri Renae Ramos. I am going to be a 3rd grade teacher at Union Elementary this year. This will be my 12th year of teaching and my 6th year at Union Elementary School District. I have a Boston Terrier named Louie and he is 4 years old. I am a native of Arizona and grew up in Avondale. I graduated from Agua Fria High School and got my BA in Elementary Education and MA in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University. I have a heart for teaching, love my students and to see them succeed is truly a blessing."
