The 2027 TMS Spring Musical will be Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, Jr!. Performances will be on May 14th at 7 PM and May 15th at 2 PM, with the understudy show on May 13th at 7 PM.

Tolland Middle School
During Advisory last week, students completed a community-building project. Each student filled out a puzzle piece, highlighting their hopes, dreams, interests, and more. Below is a completed puzzle (and some pictures of individual pieces), with all the individual student pieces coming together to create some cool art!

Today the Tolland Public Schools joined communities across our nation in remembering September 11, 2001, and marking the 25th anniversary of a day that profoundly affected our country.

Across each of our schools, students and staff paused in age-appropriate ways to remember those who lost their lives, honor the first responders and everyday citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage, and reflect on the importance of kindness, service, and supporting one another.

At Birch Grove Primary School, students heard a message focused on the bravery of firefighters, police officers, doctors, neighbors, and others who helped one another in a time of great need. Students were encouraged to carry that spirit forward by being kind, brave, helpful, and inclusive in their own lives.

At Tolland Intermediate School, students observed Patriot Day through the National Anthem, an extended moment of silence, and classroom messages emphasizing courage, kindness, strength, helpfulness, and respect for others.

At Tolland Middle School, students reflected on the events of September 11, the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost, and the many people who responded to help others. The school community paused for an extended moment of silence and was reminded to practice kindness and support for one another throughout the day.

At Tolland High School, students and staff commemorated the 25th anniversary by honoring those directly and indirectly impacted by the attacks, remembering those who lost their lives, and recognizing the first responders and others who participated in rescue and recovery efforts that day and in the days, weeks, and years that followed. The school community concluded its remembrance with an extended moment of silence.

Twenty-five years later, September 11 remains a day to remember those we lost, honor those who served and sacrificed, and reflect on the strength that comes from standing together and caring for one another.

We remember. We honor. And we carry forward the values of courage, compassion, service, and community.

Our Hallway Color Spirit Day brought so much vibrant energy to our school—students and staff completely crushed it showing off their hallway colors! Our halls were buzzing with excitement and community spirit.

The first days of school at Tolland Intermediate School have been a resounding success, setting a warm and enthusiastic tone for the year ahead. From smooth arrivals on day one to engaging classroom activities, the seamless start reflects the hard work and heart invested by our dedicated staff. Every teacher, administrator, and support team member has gone above and beyond to ensure that every student feels welcomed, valued, and safe from the moment they step through our doors. Our ultimate goal is for every child to feel truly at home at TIS, and these opening days have built a strong, supportive foundation where our entire school community can thrive together.
