Join us in celebrating our very own career consultant, Tony Sherock, as one of this semester’s UToledo Division of Student Affairs Staff Recognition "Gnome Award" recipients! 🎉

Tony’s impact can be felt across campus through the thousands of students he has connected with this year, all while balancing a busy schedule of appointments, presentations, outreach, and daily student support. Through more than 300 student appointments, Tony has provided individualized guidance to help students navigate career exploration, internships, and next steps with confidence. In the classroom, he has connected with over 1,000 students through 50+ presentations, including a major partnership with the UToledo College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics through their NSM 1500 professional development courses.

Tony also plays a key role in managing our NSM bi-weekly internship communications, helping connect students to local and regional opportunities they may not have discovered otherwise. His consistency and attention to detail ensure students regularly have access to meaningful career-building experiences. Despite the pace and volume of his work, Tony is known for his calm presence, dedication to students, and legendary random trivia + classic rock knowledge.
