🌟 WVA’s First “Picnic with the Principal” – A Huge Success! 🌟
Our very first Picnic with the Principal was an amazing celebration of community, family, and fun!
We had a wonderful turnout, and it was truly a day to remember for our WVA family.
Families enjoyed an exciting afternoon filled with activities, including:
•Playground fun and open field play
•A bouncy house and face painting
•Special visits from horses provided by Brownstone Stable for new families and students who scored 700 or higher on their state tests
•Delicious treats from the ice cream truck, along with food from Fat Boyz Food Truck and El Taco N Madre
•Community partner tables sharing valuable resources
•Music, dancing, and plenty of space for families to relax in lawn chairs and enjoy time together
A special highlight of the day was welcoming our new families. Miss Danielle, Admissions Representative, conducted tours before inviting them to join in the festivities and become part of the WVA family.
We extend a heartfelt thank you and special shoutout to the team who made this event possible:
•Dean Ridley
•Miss Cross, Student and Family Liaison
•Mrs. Reed, Communities in Schools Coordinator
•Miss Danielle, Admissions Representative
Your leadership and dedication brought this entire event together beautifully!
We are also grateful for:
•Mr. Larry from The Josh Project for volunteering his time
•Our teachers for their support and participation
•SFE for providing hot dogs, hamburgers, and more for our students.
The kids had the freedom to explore, play, and connect—laughing, dancing, and making memories together.
It was heartwarming to see everyone come together as one united WVA family.
We’re already looking forward to next year—and making it even bigger and better!
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our first Picnic with the Principal such a success.
Our students truly showed excellence, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🎉
