FCAPC Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center works to promote healthy relationships and break the cycle of family violence so every home can be a safe home.

The Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center was founded in 1974 by local pediatrician, Dr. Bernard Cullen, and a small group of concerned citizens, who saw first hand the devastating effects of child abuse. on, dedication, and vision of this small group of people, an organization has evolved with dedicated professionals who diligently work to break the cycle of family violence. With offices in Lucas and Ottawa counties, Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center serves over 50,000 people each year.

The recent news about the Ohio home where 16 children were found living in unimaginable conditions is heartbreaking. It reminds us that child abuse and neglect often happen behind closed doors, and sometimes the warning signs are missed.

Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and protected. If your call helps even one child, it's worth making. Lucas County Children Services (419) 213-2273

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and today we wear blue to stand up for children everywhere. 💙

Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and protected. By wearing blue, we’re raising awareness, showing support for survivors, and reminding our community that we all play a role in protecting our kids.

Let’s continue to speak up, check in, and create spaces where children can thrive. Small actions can make a big difference.
