19 days until Aurora Project marks 40 years in Toledo.

Forty years of women who’ve come through Aurora's doors and stayed to give back — as mentors, as staff, as board members, as neighbors. That's what the next 40 years look like, too.

You can help us make it possible. Donate today at 40YearsForward.org.

Meet Cyndi. Years ago, she came to Aurora at one of the hardest points in her life. Through the program's individual care and support, she rebuilt her life, regained custody of her son, and found her way back to stability, together.

For 40 years, this is what Aurora has done: give mothers a real chance, together with their children. Cyndi is one of hundreds of reasons why that work matters.

What Aurora gives a woman, she keeps.

When Venus came to Aurora Project, she was pregnant, exhausted, and ready for a different life after years of surviving homelessness on her own. She found the support to get sober, rebuild her life, and stay connected to her children. In 2008, she became a homeowner. "I might not have everything," she says, "but I have everything I need, and that's because of Aurora."

This is what 40 years of Aurora Project looks like: one woman, one family, one story at a time. 40 Years Forward is how we make sure Aurora is here for the women and children who will need us in the years ahead. Learn more at https://40yearsforward.org/.

"She is a powerful woman and I'm proud to call her a friend." That's what one donor wrote this morning, honoring Venus Strozier with a gift to Aurora.

While Venus Strozier slept in an abandoned house a few decades ago, a wrecking crew pulled up to tear it down.

Keeping a family together costs less than picking up the pieces after they're separated. It's not just the right thing to do. It's one of the most effective uses of community funding in the sector. That's the case behind 40 Years Forward — not charity, investment. Help us raise $400K to carry Aurora into its next 40 years. Learn more at https://40YearsForward.org.
