Today's Aurora "40 for the 40th" installment:

Aurora dreams big…Aurora believes that the Mission of a “safe environment” extends beyond the walls of 1035 N. Superior. Aurora management and staff believe they should be good neighbors to those in the Vistula neighborhood. This vision has led to the renovation of a building adjacent to the main building (529 Elm – more on that later) and the demolition of two uninhabitable houses (one space becoming the Aurora Community Garden), creating a safer neighborhood. The attached video shows the community garden, with the Elm Street building in the background).

A wonderful day for gardening...though the day started and ended wet, a team of 22 Owens Corning volunteers (led by board member Deb Dauer and fellow OC alumna Diane Clark) weeded, trimmed and planted a plethora of annuals.

Thank you to all of the volunteers...the garden looks amazing, and the neighbors are not shy about their compliments as they pass by...

Also, a big thank you to Black Diamond Perrysburg for donating the colorful annuals.
