Mobile Meals of Toledo Mobile Meals fosters independent living by helping individuals maintain or restore a healthy diet in their own homes. A once-a-week delivery is also available.

Mobile Meals is an organization serving people of all ages and economic levels, with a focus on seniors who may be homebound, have mobility issues, a medical condition, are recovering from surgery, or are unable to cook, shop, or maintain a healthy diet. Mobile Meals of Toledo serves home-delivered meals to anyone of any age who may be recovering from injury or surgery or have trouble maintaining

a balanced diet. With every delivery, Mobile Meals provides a wellness check for each client. Volunteers also make wellness phone calls to our clients during the week. Mobile Meals prepares meals in their local kitchen and delivers them twice a week. We offer one-meal per day (dinner) or two-meal per day (lunch and dinner) plans. Saturday and Sunday meals are optional. Meals for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are delivered each Tuesday. Meals for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are delivered each Friday. Our kitchen provides our clients with a variety of delicious and healthy meal choices low in sodium and fat. Registered diet technicians and cooks develop menus, and then they're approved by a licensed dietitian. The two-meal per day plan includes bread and juice. All meal plans include milk, fruit, and snack (cereal). The meals that require heating have easy-to-follow instructions for the microwave or conventional oven. Fees are determined based on income. We accept Passport, CareStar Waiver, Buckeye & Aetna (MyCare Ohio Waiver), and SNAP.

• Optional weekend service available
• Diabetic and renal diets available
• Mechanical soft and pureed food available
• Every delivery comes with a well-being check by trained volunteers

⚠️ **Attention, everyone!** Our office is currently facing a power outage, which is causing some unexpected delivery delays.

Additionally, we are experiencing a mechanical issue with one of our delivery vehicles, resulting in further delays in meal deliveries made out of St. Luke's and St. Anne's. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time! Thank you for sticking with us! 🙏

State Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson recently visited Mobile Meals of Toledo's kitchen, where we had an inspiring discussion about our exciting kitchen expansion plans for 2027-2028! These enhancements are set to boost our capacity to serve both hot and frozen meals, providing our homebound senior neighbors with daily and weekly meal options that offer greater choice.

As we wrap up 2026, a month-long celebration of the national Meals on Wheels network and the pivotal 1972 Older Americans Act amendment, we extend our gratitude to the Senator for her visit.

Mobile Meals’ Story

Mobile Meals of Toledo is a home-delivered meal service for people of all ages and economic levels. We serve people who may be homebound, have limited mobility, have a medical condition, be recovering from surgery or injury, or those unable to cook, shop, or maintain a healthy diet so they can remain in their own homes and retain the independence they treasure. This program postpones and often eliminates the need for more extensive and expensive care arrangements.

• Over 500 clients are served daily • Roughly 330,000 meals are delivered annually • In excess of $100,000 is spent in our Meal Client Assistance Program providing financial assistance to clients who otherwise could not afford the full cost of meal service
