We were honored to speak to the 72nd Toledo Police Academy Class on the purpose of the African American Police League and our role of being a Liason between the police department and the African American community.

We also highlighted our mentoring program that has produced over 20 officers on the department since its inception in 2015.

Join us tomorrow (Wednesday, September 18) at 5:00 PM for a City Council Candidate Forum at Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, 640 Indiana.

As the African-American Police League, we’re committed to building trust, transparency, and collaboration between law enforcement and the communities we serve. This forum is a chance to hear directly from candidates on issues that matter—public safety, youth engagement, economic development, and neighborhood investment—and to ask your questions.

All are welcome. Bring a friend, your voice, and your ideas for a safer, stronger city.
