“Nobody knows how to be low vision when it happens—you have to learn from someone else. And that also goes for the emotional side.”
That quote comes from Sam Seavey, host of The Blind Life podcast, in a conversation with Hadley's Joan Jaeger. Through orientation and mobility training, assistive technology, independent living skills instruction, vocational services, and other rehabilitation supports, people with vision loss can continue to live, work, and participate fully in their communities.

This week also celebrates the dedicated professionals who provide these essential services and raises awareness of the critical role vision rehabilitation plays in promoting inclusion, self-determination, and opportunity for people of all ages experiencing vision loss.
