The TO-GET-HER Space at Laurie’s Place was a dream from the very beginning, and seeing that vision continue is incredibly rewarding. We love having our partner, Lucas County Department of Job and Family Services, on-site and meeting directly with our clients. By helping families navigate systems, access resources, and overcome barriers, they are creating pathways to stability and future success. This is exactly what collaboration was meant to look like, two organizations working TO-GET-HER to support families, remove obstacles, and empower parents to build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Summer fun is about more than just staying cool!

When kids are pouring, squeezing, and splashing in the water, they’re also building important skills without even realizing it. Those little movements help strengthen hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, while all the running, jumping, and reaching that comes with water play helps develop balance, coordination, and strong growing muscles.

Sometimes the smallest moments hold the biggest magic. A bubble floating through the air. A baby’s eyes full of wonder. A smile that reminds us that joy doesn’t have to be complicated.

Childhood is meant to be filled with moments like these, exploring, imagining, laughing, and discovering the world one bubble at a time.

What a special lesson in generosity!

Our Board Treasurer’s children, Charlie and Sophia, are learning firsthand what it means to give back. Throughout the year, they divide their money into three categories: Save, Share, and Spend. At the end of the year, the money they place in their Share account is used to purchase items from the Mom’s House wish list to support the families we serve. They even got to play with our kiddos!

Giving looks different for everyone, and what a phenomenal lesson to teach at such a young age. By learning to share and invest in others now, Charlie and Sophia are developing hearts for generosity and becoming future philanthropists.

Thank you to their parents for intentionally teaching these values and for investing in our mission through your children. We are so grateful!

Happy Birthday to our infant educator, Kyleigh! Her joy, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and grow have captured all of our hearts. As she begins her journey as an early childhood educator, she brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for the children she serves each day.

Hello, summer!! There’s nothing quite like watching our kiddos run, play, explore, and soak up some sunshine. Outdoor play helps build confidence, creativity, social skills, and healthy bodies, but most importantly lets kids just be kids!

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone, 11 years of service from our Family Wellness Coordinator, Derayna!

For over a decade, she has poured her heart into the families we serve, answering her calling with compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment. Her impact reaches far beyond programs and services; she helps change lives every day.

These two have been together since they were born, growing side by side, learning side by side, and building a friendship that has become such a beautiful part of their journey.

Watching them graduate together reminded us that early childhood education is about so much more than ABCs and numbers.

At Mom’s House of Toledo, we believe learning how to build healthy friendships, connect with others, share, communicate, and grow together is a critical part of a child’s development. These little relationships matter and often become the foundation for confidence, emotional health, and belonging.

Our hearts are smiling watching these sweet friends!
