Meet Christine Hart, an inspiring member of our team who first served as a CASA volunteer back in the 90’s and returned to join us in January 2024. Since then, she’s made an amazing impact by supporting five children on their journeys toward safety and brighter futures.

Christine balances a full‑time career with her passions. She loves travelling, getting lost in a good book, staying active at the gym, and is an enthusiastic Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Her dedication, energy, and heart truly shine through in the work she does as a CASA volunteer.

Curious to learn more about Christine’s story and how she’s making a difference? 🧡

Some children make you work for a smile. Gracie was one of them. At just 8 years old, she had already lived through domestic violence, addiction, and instability.

When the court determined her home was unsafe, CASA volunteer Brenda stepped in, ready to be the voice Gracie desperately needed.

My Hero Isn’t Superman Anymore

Ten-year-old Robert and his brother were removed from their home due to neglect. Tracy was appointed by the Lucas County Juvenile Court to be their CASA advocate. Robert wrote this essay as part of a class contest.

My teacher asked our class, “Who is your hero?”

When I was little, my hero was Superman and the Hulk. But now, my hero is a lady that loves me all the time. Tracy had to come see me because my mom wasn’t home at night.

Tracy came to my school last year, and we talked in the office. Tracy told me that she was going to do everything to help me. I didn’t not like her, and I didn’t like her. She kept coming over to my granny’s house and talking to me and my brother.
