Hygiene kits.
Clean clothes.
Basic supplies.

Essentials restore dignity.

When youth don’t have basic needs met, they are more vulnerable to manipulation.

Meeting needs isn’t charity.
It’s prevention.

Research is clear.
One consistent, caring adult can dramatically lower a young person’s risk factors.

Mentorship creates protection.

A listening ear.
A steady voice.
A reminder that someone sees you.

Be the safe adult.

Spring is a season of renewal.

It’s okay to reset who has access to you.
Boundaries are not rude. They are protective.

We teach young women that saying “no” is strength, not selfishness.
Choose peace this season.

Have you noticed the uptick in missing youth?

Trafficking rarely begins with force?

It often begins with grooming.

• Excessive compliments
• Gifts or money
• Isolation from friends
• Promises of love or opportunity

Manipulation can look like affection.

That’s why we teach young people how to recognize early warning signs.

Knowledge protects. Silence doesn’t.

Share this with someone who needs it.

Traffickers don’t target strength.
They target vulnerability.

Low self-esteem.
Isolation.
Unmet basic needs.

Confidence isn’t just a feel-good concept. It’s protection.

When a young woman knows her worth, manipulation becomes easier to spot.

At OATL we build confidence through education, essentials, and safe mentorship.

Empower one girl. Change her trajectory.

Love should feel safe.

Healthy relationships include:
✔ Respect
✔ Boundaries
✔ Listening
✔ Accountability

If a relationship feels confusing, isolating, or controlling — that’s not love. That’s a red flag.

We teach teens how to recognize the difference before patterns turn into pain.

Because prevention starts with education.

If something feels off, talk to someone.

Women’s History Month isn’t just about celebrating famous names.

It’s about the women who quietly break cycles every day.

The mother who chooses safety.
The mentor who listens.
The teacher who notices the red flags.
The young woman who decides, “It ends with me.”

At Open Arms Transformational Living, we work with youth who are learning that their story doesn’t have to repeat itself.

Protection today becomes leadership tomorrow.

Our spotlight today is Cycle Breaker, Fonda Royster, .

Help us protect the next generation of cycle-breakers. https://oatltoledo.square.site/support

📱 Digital Dating Abuse Is Real.

It doesn’t always look like physical violence.

Sometimes it looks like:
• Demanding passwords
• Monitoring location constantly
• Threatening to share private photos
• Blowing up someone’s phone nonstop
• Public humiliation online
• Controlling who someone can follow or talk to

If it feels like surveillance instead of love — it’s not healthy.

Digital abuse can:
• Damage self-esteem
• Increase anxiety
• Isolate teens
• Escalate into offline violence

Love does not require access to your phone.
Love does not demand proof every hour.

Parents: start the conversation.
Teens: you deserve privacy and respect.

At Open Arms Transformation Living, we educate youth about digital boundaries, consent, and safe relationships.

📩 Message us to bring this training to your school or youth group.
This conversation can prevent real harm.

Protection starts with awareness.

💙 Boys Need This Conversation Too.

When we talk about teen dating violence, too often the focus is only on girls.

But boys:
• Experience emotional abuse
• Face pressure to “be tough”
• Struggle to talk about controlling relationships
• Can be victims — and need support

Teaching boys about:
✔ Respect
✔ Boundaries
✔ Consent
✔ Emotional regulation
✔ Healthy communication

Is not optional. It’s prevention.

We must give young men space to talk honestly about:
“What does healthy love look like?”
“What does control look like?”
“How do I leave something that feels wrong?”

Silence does not protect boys.
Education does.

At Open Arms Transformation Living, we create safe spaces for young people to learn, speak, and grow.

📞 If you have a teen who needs support, call us today.
📩 Message us to learn about our teen empowerment groups.
Don’t wait until something escalates.

Healthy boys become healthy men.

💜 Self-Love Is Protection 💜

The strongest protection a teen can have isn’t a rule.
It’s self-worth.

When young people understand their value, they are more likely to:
• Speak up when something feels wrong
• Set boundaries without guilt
• Walk away from unhealthy situations
• Choose relationships built on respect

Self-love teaches teens that:
“I deserve to feel safe.”
“I don’t have to prove my worth.”
“Love should never cost me my peace.”

At Open Arms Transformation Living, we help youth build confidence, emotional awareness, and relationship skills that protect them long before a red flag appears.

This Valentine’s season, let’s remind our teens:
The most important relationship you will ever have is the one you have with yourself.
