We built heavy steel brackets, anchored them to the structure and using hydraulic jacks to tilt the steeple an inch at a time. This was done all while using stainless steel cables and turnbuckles to stabilize it. We were able to lift one side nearly 11 3/4 inches to it's original resting place. The steeple had been leaning for decades. This was a very challenging and stressful process especially for Dale, Craig and Billy who spent a week in the steeple pumping the jacks and listening to that old wood talking to them!
