Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a family-friendly event honoring our nation’s history, flag, and spirit—complete with performances by local talent, community singing, and special appearances inspired by America’s founding story.

Calling all photographers! Youth and adults are invited to showcase their creativity and capture the beauty, meaning, and inspiration of flags flying across our county! Submit up to two original photos to Jake Buchanan, Tama County Economic Development Director at [email protected]. Please include your name, the location where the photo was taken, and your contact information with your submission. Tama County Board of Supervisors will select inspiring entries to be displayed in the Tama County Annex Building. Don’t miss the chance to have your photography featured and celebrate community pride through your lens! Deadline to submit is June 12.

Attached are sample ballots from the Tama, Toledo, and Traer precincts. The ballots provided below are samples of all ballot styles for the June 2nd, 2026, Primary Election.
‼️REMEMBER‼️The deadline to request a mail in ballot was Monday May 18th, you can still come into our office to voter early up until Monday June 1st! We will also be open on Saturday May 30th from 8:00am-4:30pm for voting!
If you have any questions, please call our office @ 641-484-2740. Also, if you would like a paper copy of the sample ballots you are more than welcome to come in and grab one!

Hello Tama County!

The Tama County Zoning Commission is working on a Comprehensive Land Use Plan to guide the direction of Tama County for future years.

We want YOUR input for what you care about most in our county. Public input is essential, and estimated to only take about 15 minutes!

Please complete this survey either online or paper copy, by March 31

If you know someone that is not online, let them know that Paper Copies can be found at the Tama County Auditor's Office, the Tama County Public Health Building, and at various city locations across the county. We hope you participate!
