National Night Out Brings Smiles Despite Weather Cancellation
Although we were disappointed to cancel the second portion of this year’s National Night Out event, we are incredibly grateful for the wonderful turnout and the fun that was shared during the afternoon activities.
Children had a fantastic time enjoying the bounce house and water slide while members of the Toccoa Police Department served hot dogs, chips, and bottled water to families. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, laughter, and neighbors spending time together in a positive atmosphere.
While the weather prevented us from continuing with the evening festivities, we were fortunate to capture some great photos of the children enjoying the afternoon. Those memories remind us what National Night Out is all about, bringing our community together and strengthening the relationships between law enforcement and the citizens we proudly serve.
The Toccoa Police Department would like to thank everyone who came out to support the event. We appreciate your understanding regarding the cancellation of the second portion of the program and look forward to seeing everyone again at future community events.
