Please remember that drownings can happen quickly and silently. Help keep your loved ones safe this summer by following these important water safety tips:

•Never leave children unattended near water.

•Always wear a life jacket while boating or near the water.

•Avoid swimming alone.

•Learn CPR and basic rescue skills.

•Keep phones and distractions away while supervising swimmers.

•Stay away from alcohol when swimming or operating watercraft.

•Teach children how to swim early.

A few seconds can make all the difference. Stay alert, stay prepared, and have a safe summer around the water!
