As many know by now, Stephens County suffered a strong storm earlier. Between Hart EMC and Georgia Power there are well over 6000 reported power outages.

Please be patient with the Linemen crews that are out working in these conditions, as well as all avenues of Emergency Services as they try their very best to deal with the repercussions of the storm.

Please avoid traveling at all cost.

Happy Birthday to our EMS Director, Bryon Bennett!

Today we celebrate a leader who continues to make a lasting impact on our department, our community, and the people we serve.

Bryon leads with vision, integrity, and a genuine heart for others. He is never afraid to step in and help, regardless of the task, and consistently puts the needs of others before his own. His selfless leadership sets the tone for our entire department.

One of the things we appreciate most is his commitment to moving our department forward, rather than settling for “the way it’s always been.” He challenges us to grow, improve, and embrace advancements that ultimately provide better care for our patients. Because of his leadership, our department continues to evolve and stay at the forefront of prehospital medicine!

Strong leadership is not about titles—it’s about service, sacrifice, and inspiring others to be better. Bryon exemplifies those qualities every day.

Thank you for your dedication and vision to this department. We are proud to serve alongside you.

During EMS Week, we were once again reminded why Stephens County is such a special place to serve. The outpouring of support shown to Stephens County EMS this week has been truly overwhelming. From meals, snacks, sweets, drinks, gift cards, flashlights, and countless thoughtful gestures, our crews have felt incredibly appreciated and encouraged!

To every business, church, organization, hospital department, family, and individual who took the time to give, pray for, feed, or support us in any way — thank you! Your kindness does not go unnoticed. We are honored to serve this great community!
