On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed. Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the members of law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, military members, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness.

We also remember the heroes we have lost in the years since, including those who became ill from the lasting effects of their service on that day and in the aftermath.

We pause to remember.
We honor their sacrifice.
We stand with their families.
And we will Never Forget.

BACK TO SCHOOL IN HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP!

The new school year is officially underway, and the halls are once again filled with students, teachers, and staff! We want to wish everyone in the Hopewell Township School District a safe, successful, and exciting school year!

As everyone settles back into their routines, please remember to slow down, stay alert, and watch for students—especially around school zones, bus stops, crosswalks, and during drop-off and pick-up times.

Drivers: Stop for school buses when required, obey posted speed limits, and keep an eye out for children crossing the roadway.

Parents & Students: Use designated crosswalks, follow crossing guard instructions, and remember to look both ways before crossing.

From all of us at the Hopewell Township Police Department: We are excited to welcome everyone back and will be out in the community helping make sure our students have a safe start to the school year.

The Hopewell Township Police Department is now accepting applications for our Citizens Police Academy!

This free program offers residents a behind-the-scenes look at modern policing and the day-to-day operations of the department. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from our officers through classroom instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on activities covering topics such as:

🚓 Patrol Operations
🚦 Traffic Enforcement
🕵️ Criminal Investigations
🐕 K-9 Unit Demonstrations
🚨 Emergency Response
⚖️ Use of Force & Police Procedures
…and much more!

The Citizens Police Academy is designed to build stronger relationships between the police department and our community while providing a better understanding of the challenges and responsibilities of law enforcement.

Last night's National Night Out was an incredible success, and we couldn't have done it without our amazing community!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to make the evening so special. To our residents, vendors, volunteers, community organizations, and first responders—thank you for your time, support, and commitment to making Hopewell Township such a wonderful place to live.

This was the largest turnout we've ever had for National Night Out, and seeing so many families, friends, and neighbors come together was truly amazing. Events like this strengthen the relationships between our community and the police, fire, EMS, and all of our local partners.

Thank you for spending your evening with us, creating lasting memories, and helping make this year's event our best yet.

We can't wait to see everyone again next year for an even bigger and better National Night Out!
