FIRST WARNING WEATHER: Weather alert from roughly midnight tonight until midday tomorrow. There could be some strong or possibly severe storms. Greatest threat, though, is wind gusts that could get over 50-55 mph at times. You will want to bring in any objects that could be damaged by these gusty winds.

This spring, the Titusville Fire Department has been focused on expanding their expertise and refining their skills, with a combination of annual hazmat updates and training sessions at the PA State Fire Academy. As a result, all crew members have been extremely busy. In April, firefighters N. Hosier, C. Mallory, and S. Hosier attended a 4-day, 40-hour training session, Engine Academy 1, at the Fire Academy in Lewistown. This crew also had the opportunity to work along side members from Oil City Fire Department and City of Meadville FD. This month, Lt. Brown, Lt. Nikolaison, FF Gordon, and FF Hartshorne also attended the same training. The course provided instruction on advanced hose line techniques, water mapping, and live fire burns, enabling participants to practice their skills in a realistic setting. All members are looking forward to their next training session at the Academy.

The City of Titusville Fire dept. currently has 3 members attending this 4 day class, in Lewistown PA to advance their training to provide the best possible service to our community. Our guys are having the opportunity to train along side members from Harrisburg Bureau of Fire, Oil City FD, and Meadville FD

Warmer and dryer weather...... good time to burn? NOT SO FAST!!! Please use common sense and caution if burning outside. Most of PA is in a "MODERATE" risk of forest fires today. Don't leave your fires unattended, and be prepared to extinguish them BEFORE they can get out of hand.

FIRST WARNING WEATHER: Tornado Watch is now in effect for much of Northwestern PA until 11 PM tonight. This means between now and 11, there could be severe thunderstorms that have the potential to produce damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and a few isolated tornadoes. - Dakota Hunter
