A heartfelt thank-you to Britt and Jeff Diaz of Firehouse Subs Titusville for providing lunch this past week for all five stations, including Headquarters, across all three shifts!

Their generosity extends well beyond this past week, as they provide meals for our members on many occasions throughout the year. We are truly grateful for their continued kindness and support—it’s community partnerships like this that make our city special.

Thank you, Britt and Jeff, for taking such great care of our crews!

Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 — a day that forever changed our nation and the world. In the hours and days following the attacks in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, stories of extraordinary courage, selfless sacrifice, and heartbreaking loss emerged.

As we honor the lives lost, we remember the bravery of everyday citizens, firefighters, police officers, and other first responders who helped others in the face of unimaginable danger. We stand with the families, survivors, and all whose lives were forever changed, remaining steadfast in our commitment to honor their stories and preserve the memory of those we lost.

We will never forget.

September 11, 2026 — On the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, members of the Titusville Fire Department and Titusville Police Department Florida will come together in solemn remembrance of those who lost their lives.

Beginning at 6 a.m. at Fire Station 14, participants will travel between Titusville’s fire stations before completing the memorial route across the A. Max Brewer Bridge.

With every step, we will remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the innocent lives taken too soon, the families forever changed, and those who later died from illnesses connected to their service at Ground Zero.

This is not a race. It is a time for quiet reflection, unity and gratitude — a shared commitment to carry forward the memory of those who answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Twenty-five years later, we remember their courage, honor their sacrifice and promise never to forget.

💜 SEPTEMBER IS SU***DE AWARENESS & PREVENTION MONTH

In the fire service, we are trained to recognize danger, protect life, and answer the call when someone needs us.

Sometimes, the person who needs us most is sitting across the kitchen table. Riding beside us on the apparatus. Standing next to us at shift change. Or looking back at us in the mirror.

The uniform does not make us immune.

Behind the gear is a person.
Behind the smile may be a struggle.
Behind the silence may be a battle no one else can see.

Check on your people. And then check again.

Have the uncomfortable conversation. Listen without judgment. Know your resources. And if you are the one struggling, asking for help does not diminish your strength, your career, or everything you have accomplished.

Your life matters. We need you here.
Your family needs you.
Your crew needs you.
Your fire service family needs you.

For firefighters and their families looking for support, Redline Rescue connects members of the fire service with trained peer-support providers, culturally competent clinicians, chaplains, and other behavioral-health resources. https://redlinerescue.org/

If you or someone you know is experiencing a suicidal or mental-health crisis, call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

We spend our careers saving others.

This September, make sure we are saving each other, too.

💜 Reach out. Speak up. Check in. Stay.

Stronger Together. Safer Together. Healthier Together.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us officially “push in” Tower 11, the newest addition to the Titusville Fire Department fleet!

We are grateful for the continued support of our Mayor, City Council, and City Manager, whose commitment to public safety allows us to strategically update and strengthen our fleet. Maintaining modern, capable apparatus is essential to ensuring our firefighters are prepared to serve the citizens and visitors of Titusville and North Brevard when they need us most.

And, as always, a special thank you to our community for coming out and showing your support. We are proud to serve you!🚒😊
