Congratulations to our Assistant City Attorney, David Melito, on being published in the Summer 2026 edition of The Florida Bar's City, County, and Local Government Law Section journal!

David's article, "Rethinking Concurrency for Master Planned Communities and Planned Unit Developments: Lessons from The Florida State University System," examines how communities can better coordinate development with the public facilities and services needed to support it, helping local governments make smarter long-term investments while maintaining quality of life.

As Florida continues to experience rapid population growth, thoughtful planning is more important than ever. Publications like David's contributes to statewide conversations amongst legal experts on how cities can balance economic development, infrastructure investment, fiscal responsibility, and smart growth principles.

We are proud to have professionals on our Staff who are helping shape the future of government through research, innovation, and public service. Congratulations, David, and thank you for your contributions to the legal and planning professions!
