Associated Charities - providing a helping hand to those in need. Associated Charites was founded in 1911 to help area residents in need. The service area covers Eastern Crawford County (Titusville, Hydetown, Centerville, Townville, and townships of Athens, Bloomfield, Oil Creek, Rome, Sparta, Stueben & Troy), Northern Venango County (Pleasantville Boro, and townships of Allegheny, Cherrytree, Oil
creek & Plum) and Southwest Warren County (Eldred & Southwest townships). Associated Charites is the approved distributor of state food for the above portions of Crawford & Venango County, and accepts donations for the food pantry as well. Other programs include Emergency Utility Assistance, Lending of Medical equipment, School Clothing, and Christmas gifts for client families. Associated Charites receives no government funding, but is supported by private donations. The United Way of the Titusville Region (UWTR) helps to fund the Emergency Utility Assistance Program. The Agency also offers a Thrift Store, where community members can purchase clothing and household items for a modest cost, and proceeds help to fund Agency programs. Associated Charities is a member agency of The United Way of the Titusville Region.
