REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: Commercial Tenants at 601 W Main Street

The City of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, (City) invites the submittal of responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified business entities interested in leasing the commercial property located at 601 W Main Street, Tishomingo, Oklahoma 73460.

Each interested business must provide a detailed specification sheet with business name, description of services provided, proposed number of full-time and part-time employees, and average wages, in a sealed bid to City Manager, Bryce Jones, located at 1130 E Main Street, Tishomingo, Oklahoma 73460 by Tuesday, May 19, 2026, by 10:00 AM (local time). The listing price for the lease is $1,200.00 per month. All utilities will be the responsibility of the tenant.

On Friday, May 8, 2026, and Friday, May 15, 2026, the property will be available for viewing for anybody interested in leasing to inspect. About the Position:
Serving as the chief administrative officer, the City Manager serves under the policy direction of the City Council to support the daily operations and long-term vision of the organization. In this position, you provide executive leadership of municipal services, support the implementation of Council priorities, and lead a dedicated workforce of approximately 35 employees.
Tishomingo is a full-service municipality offering water and sewer utilities, regional sanitation services, police and fire protection, parks, streets, cemetery, code enforcement, animal services, and various administrative services.
In this role, you act as a trusted advisor to the City Council, preparing reports, offering professional recommendations, attending Council meetings, and clearly communicating policies and initiatives to staff and the public.
This position serves as a full-time representative of the City as an organization and a community, building strong relationships with local business leaders, regional partners, State and Tribal agencies, and community stakeholders. As City Manager, you are not only managing an organization, but helping to lead a community, enrich its heritage, and guide its future with professionalism and integrity.

Current and Future Projects:
• Construction of a new Wastewater Treatment Plant,
• Expansion of two State Highway projects,
• Infrastructure upgrades of lift stations and water storage towers,
• Expansion of a City Development Trust engaging in entrepreneurial functions,
• Future Land Use Planning,
• Economic Development (business recruitment and retention),
• Residential and Commercial growth,
• Disaster Preparedness Planning,
• Financial Planning.

Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive supervisory and administrative experience in government.
• Knowledge of municipal operations, finance, public safety, and community development.

Salary & Benefits:
The City Manager position offers a competitive annual salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 DOQ.
