Preschool & Pre-K Parents,

I have some good news and some challenging news to share.

Good news: Tipp City Schools will be on its regular schedule tomorrow, which means we will hold Preschool and Pre-K classes.

Challenging news: The front sidewalk and street are still buried under more than a foot of snow. We’ve made some progress shoveling, but with the below-zero temperatures, it’s simply too much snow to clear on our own, while still being open for childcare. Drop-off space is very limited—only enough room for about two cars at a time.

To keep everyone safe and traffic moving, we will be using a staggered drop-off schedule:

9:00 a.m. – Preschool 1 (Ms. Katelyn) & Pre-K 1 (Ms. Trisha)

9:15 a.m. – Preschool 2 (Ms. Maria & Ms. Lori)

9:30 a.m. – Pre-K 2 (Ms. Sam & Ms. Megan)

We understand car seats may make this tricky, but the safest option is for each class to pull up at their assigned time. Ms. Tyra and I will meet you at your car, take your child, and es**rt them inside safely. To minimize risk, we ask that parents remain in their vehicles whenever possible. If you can safely unbuckle your child as you pull up, that would be very helpful.

As always, please make the best decision for your family when deciding whether to attend tomorrow. If you will not be coming, please let us know so we are not waiting for you.

Unfortunately, it looks like this snow may be around for a while. If anyone has connections to snow removal services that can access sidewalks and curbs, please reach out—we would truly appreciate any help.

Parents,

The Tipp City Schools are on a two-hour delay on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

We will be open our regular hours. I cannot stress enough the importance of being extremely careful when dropping off and picking up your children. We are working on snow removal, but it has been very difficult. Adults and children are walking through the snow and even on the street to reach the building. Please walk your child to the door and make sure they are safely inside before you leave.

REMINDER: If schools were to close during the two-hour delay, your child will need lunch. It is best practice to send that with your child to avoid having to leave work and come back.

There will be no preschool or pre-k classes.

Enrollment Information for 2026-2027 Academic Year and Summer 2026 🏫

Enrollment packets for the upcoming summer and school year are now available. Parents can obtain these packets through two convenient methods:

1. Pick up in person at TCEP
2. Download and print from www.tippcitykids.org

Due to recent schedule adjustments, open enrollment for the public will commence on February 4, 2026, providing additional time for current families to complete their registration. 📝
