The Arc of Monmouth is a non-profit agency committed to improving the lives of over 1,600 Monmouth County residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing extensive services and family support. Many families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) can feel alone, lacking the necessary resources to help their loved ones enjoy fulfilling lives in
the community. The Arc of Monmouth is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency with a mission to improve the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families through comprehensive services, advocacy, community education, and collaboration with our community partners. Before The Arc was founded in 1950, virtually no programs or activities existed to care for young adults with I/DD and allow them to enjoy fulfilling lives in their communities. So, parents and concerned individuals joined together to advocate for their children to have full and independent lives, building a network to support the families. Today our dedicated staff and volunteers provide every support service imaginable so people with I/DD can live and thrive in their community.
