Today at Tigerton High School, students witnessed a powerful Mock Prom Accident simulation — a reminder of how quickly lives can change when drinking and driving are involved.

The Tigerton Area Ambulance Service, Tigerton Fire Department, Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, and the Shawano County Coroner’s Office all responded as if it were a real emergency. While the scene was only a simulation, the message behind it was very real.

For our first responders, scenes like this are something they unfortunately face in real life. Our hope is that by seeing this demonstration, students truly understand the seriousness of the choices they make — especially during celebrations like prom.
One decision can impact families, friends, and an entire community.

Thank you to everyone who helped put this important event together and to the students who took the time to learn from it.

Please celebrate safely and always make the choice to never drink and drive.

🚨 Community Notice – Tigerton High School 🚨

On Wednesday, April 8 at 1:00 PM, a Mock Prom Accident Scene will be taking place at Tigerton High School.

This is a planned simulation involving local emergency responders, including EMS, fire, and law enforcement, to show students the very real dangers of impaired or distracted driving.

You may see emergency vehicles, police presence, and simulated accident activity in the area during this time.

⚠️ Please do not be alarmed — this is only a training and educational exercise.
Thank you to our local first responders and school staff for helping educate students and keep our community safe.
