Today, high school science teachers participated in Day 2 of the Savvas Learning Core Resource Training at Tift County High School, continuing Tift County Schools’ commitment to strengthening science instruction through high-quality instructional materials and ongoing professional learning.

During the training, teachers engaged in hands-on learning experiences focused on navigating the Savvas Experience platform, exploring instructional routines, and examining strategies designed to support student engagement and scientific thinking. Summer time is here! Don’t forget that your child brought home valuable learning resources to use over the summer.
K–5 students brought home their HMH Know It, Show It books, My Books, and Writer's Notebooks. K–8 students also brought home their HMH Into Math student practice books and homework books. These resources are a great way to keep students reading, practicing, and growing all summer long.

Just a little practice each day can make a big difference!

On Tuesday, leadership teams from each Tift County school gathered at Tift County High School to review this year’s data and begin preparations for FY27 school improvement planning.

Mrs. Danielle White, Principal of Northside Elementary School, led teams through data digs and root cause analysis activities as schools begin identifying strengths, opportunities for growth, and next steps to support student success. The collaborative work completed this week will help guide planning efforts throughout the summer as schools continue focusing on continuous improvement across the district.
